New release of kexec-loader, features improved module loading code and bugfixes. Read the ChangeLog for more details. The new kernel build in this release also has full USB HID support, which should fix problems with USB keyboards.
Thanks for this kexec-loader that looks exactly what I need to boot my Linux installed on SCSI disks from an Intel box without boot bios support for SCSI.
I tried to use the latest version 2.1.1, but it looks like the "modules-2.6.30.5-1.tar.gz" is not complete: compared to the "modules-2.6.30.1-1.tar.gz" from version 2.1 it is missing quite a few modules and the modules.html hat lkist the dependencies.
I am just a hardware engineer ( I was a former DEC employee supporting the ALPHA's with enough software knowledge to install Linux). I just failed to setup the uClibc as a toolchain to recompile all the modules...
Question: could I successfully use the modules extracted from version 2.1 and use those with the floppy from version 2.1.1? It does not seems to work too well and I am afraid to wipe out my SCSI raid set if I insist.
Thanks in advance.
Louis Richard
P.S. Happy new year :-)
